Description

The Register of Legal Acts (hereinafter: the ‘RLA’) is the main national register in which the objects of the Register defined to in the Law on Legislative Framework are recorded, and in which the data of the Register are collected, accumulated, processed, systematized, stored and made available in accordance with the procedure laid down by legal acts.

The Office of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania controls and processes the data of the Register of Legal Acts.

Registration and publication of legal acts in the RLA is deemed to be the official publication of such legal acts. The RLA contains all the amendments to the registered legal acts and produces consolidated versions of the legal acts.

For the convenience of users, the Register of Legal Acts enables an advanced search by various parameters and a full-text search.

Each user can, according to his/her needs, take out the subscription to the electronic version of legal acts, whereby a set of legal acts of the previous day will be sent to the user's e-mail address on a daily basis.

The RLA also provides useful links to the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania, a search database for draft legal acts, related documents and translations, as well as to the recent legislation, etc. It provides general information about the Lithuanian legislative system and the legal information regarding the RLA.

Legal acts

The RLA publishes legal acts (namely, the Constitution, constitutional laws, laws, resolutions, other legal acts adopted by the Seimas, the decrees and ordinances of the President of the Republic, the resolutions and decisions of the Government, the orders of ministers, other regulations of state institutions and agencies, as well as the legal acts of municipal institutions), international treaties of the Republic of Lithuania, and court judgments (including the judgments, rulings, and resolutions of the Supreme Court of Lithuania and the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania, as well as the final judgments of administrative courts, etc.).
